EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT: Next Friday, Oct. 1st is the 1st. Friday of the month and the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed from 8:30am to 9:30am. At this time there will be a Benediction and exposition will be closed for the day.

PARISH CENTER NEWS: Blessed Sacrament is a site for St. Vincent De Paul and through this organization we have a Food Pantry that opens three times a week. 300 families are served by this program on a weekly basis. The USAD food is provided by the Government and you need to register to get food once a month. Registration time is on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 4:15pm to 4:45pm. You will be issued an eligibility card and you have to meet this three requirements:
1) Must live within the general geographic area of Blessed Sacrament
2) Must meet US poverty guidelines
3) Must have some form of identification or proof of area residence.
Distribution of other food pantry items are available up to three days per week as follows: Tuesday and Thursday 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Saturday 9:00am to 11:00am. For this program no card is necessary.

CHOIR NEWS: We are looking for talented, enthusiastic singers to join the A Capella Choir. The choir rehearses every Wednesday night from 7:30-9:30pm. Potential singers must be dedicated, energetic, willing to learn, eager to experience God’s great love through music, and ready to have a great time! - The 5:30pm Contemporary Ensemble needs you! We are searching for both instrumentalists and vocalists to join our joyful band. We rehearse before our Sunday Mass beginning at 3:30pm. All experience levels are encouraged to join, and no audition is necessary, just desire, spirit, and the willingness to learn. RESTORATION OF THE CHURCH: There are many ways for you to participate in the centennial celebration. One opportunity is to assist us with the restoration of our beautiful church. Here are some specific needs.

CARNIVAL NEWS: We need you help to make the 2004 Blessed Sacrament a success! The Carnival will be held October 22, 23, 24th.
Pre-Sale Ride Tickets: Ride tickets are being sold at the rectory office and after all Masses on Sundays. Each sheet with 20 tickets costs only $12.00-Do not miss this wonderful savings opportunity!!!
Raffle tickets: have been mailed already! Please turn in your ticket stubs and money as soon as possible.
Volunteer your time: We can use your help soliciting donations, planning and installing decorations, setting up before the weekend event, preparing food, running the game & raffle booths etc. Whether you can spare the time to ask for donations now or you can help us for a few hours during the weekend itself we would be grateful for any time you can give.
Contribute items: We encourage you to request donations from local businesses that you frequent, and to ask your friends and families if they can help us. You can get letters to use when soliciting donations form the rectory office.
Come to the party and enjoy! Do not forget that your raffle ticket purchase is one very important way that you can help defray the costs of planning the carnival and make sure that as much money as possible goes directly to help the school and parish. We encourage you to invite your colleagues, friends, and families to join us for the weekend. Its fun when you bring a crowd and it is a greater way for prospective families to learn about the school and parish. We will be offering a limited number of discounted ride tickets when the weekend draws nearer. So be on the look out.
We are excited about the chance to top our fundraising records from previous years and we are looking forward to a terrific weekend with food, games, entertainment and friends. NOTICIAS DEL CENTRO PASTORAL: La Iglesia del Santisimo Sacramento es un centro de distribucion de San Vicente De Paul y atraves de esta organizacion. 300 familias se benefician de este programa cada semana. El programa de USDA es proveido por el Gobierno y distribuye comida una vez por mes. Para ser elegible necesita inscribirse los dias Martes o Jueves de las 4:15pm a las 4:45pm, se le dara una tarjeta y necesita estos tres requisitos:
1) Tiene que residir en el area geografica de la parroquia.
2) Tiene que cumplir con las lineas de pobreza de este pais.
3) Tienen presentar alguna forma de identificacion o prueva de que reside en esta area.
Otra clase de alimentos son distribuidos 3 veces por semana los Martes y Jueves de 4:00pm a 6:00pm y los Sabados de las 9am a 11:00am para este programa no necesita tarjeta.

EXPOSICION DEL SANTISIMO SACRAMENTO: El proximo Viernes 1 de Oct. es el Primer Viernes del mes, por lo tanto el Santisimo Sacramento estara expuesto desde las 8:30am hasta las 9:30am. A las 9:30am tendremos una Bendicion especial y la exposicion terminara.

INSTITUTO LOYOLA DE ESPIRITUALIDAD: El Padre Tacho Rivera y su equipo de espiritualidad estaran aqui del Lunes 27 al Jueves 30 dando charlas sobre el tema: Vivencia de Oracion. Estas charlas se llevaran a cabo en el auditorio de la escuela de 7 a 8:30pm de la noche. Cada noche tendremos un tema diferente. Todos estan invitados con su familiares y amigos!

LIBRO COMMEMORATIVO DEL CENTENARIO: Informese sobre la historia de nuestra parroquia y del papel tan importante que ha desarrollado en Hollywood durante este centenario. Los libros estan a la venta despues de las Misas y en la oficina de la rectoria al precio de $10.00

RESTAURACION DE LA IGLESIA: Hay muchas maneras en las cuales Ud Puede participar en la celebracion del Centenario. Una oportunidad seria que nos ayude con la restauracion de nuestra bella Iglesia. Detalles especificos:

- Mantenimiento del Organo: $15,000

NOTICIAS DEL CARNAVAL: Necesitamos de su ayuda para hacer del Carnaval del 2004 todo un completo suceso. El Carnaval se realizara el 22, 23 & 24 de Octubre.
Boletos para los Juegos Mecanicos ya estan a la Venta: en la oficina de la rectoria y despues de todas las Misas los domingos. Cada hoja con 20 boletos cuesta solo $12.00 Aprovechen esta gran oportunidad y ahorro!!!!
Talonarios de Rifas: Por favor devuelvan sus contrasenas y dinero lo mas pronto posible. Si desean mas los pueden recoger en la oficina de la rectoria.
Hagase voluntario: Puede ayudarnos solicitando donaciones, en la planificacion del evento y/o colocando decoraciones, arreglando los kioskos antes del evento, preparando comida, trabajando en las tombolas, etc.
Donaciones: Les sugerimos pedir donaciones de los establecimientos comerciales que frequenta, y solicitar ayuda de sus familiares y amigos. Tenemos cartas que son usadas especificamente para este tipo de solicitaciones y las pueden obtener en la oficina de la rectoria de la parroquia.
Vengan a la fiesta y diviertanse: Es muy importante vender y/o comprar de los boletos de las rifas, este dinero ayuda a bajar el costo de la planificacion del Carnaval y de esta manera entra mas dinero para la escuela y la parroquia. Inviten a sus amigos, familiares, colegas de trabajo para pasar un fin de semana super divertido.
Deseamos superar la ganancia del ano pasado y esperamos hacer de este Carnaval, Concierto y Festival de Cocina Internacional del 2004 uno de los mejores en los ultimos tiempos.
