OCTOBER- MONTH OF THE ROSARY

WORLD MISSION SUNDAY, 2ND COLLECTION: Today, with Catholics of the world, we are called to this Eucharist celebration to offer our prayers and our generous financial support, through the Propagation of the Faith, to continue the mission of our Lord.
Your gift on World Mission Sunday supports:
- mission priests who bring the love of Jesus to the poor living in remote villages and city barrios.
- Religious Sisters and Brothers who offer the Lord’s healing compassion to refugees, the sick and orphans.
- catechists who proclaim the Gospel to the poorest of our human family, the message of the hope and peace that only Christ can give.
Today, World Mission Sunday, I ask your prayers for the work of the Church in the Missions – and encourage your generous financial help as well. May God bless you. Corresponding envelopes are found behind the pews.

CABARET CONCERT: Members of the Acapella Choir will perform a special Cabaret Concert on Friday, Oct. 29 and Saturday, Oct. 30 at 8:00 pm in the school auditorium. The cost is $7.00. Don’t miss this fantastic musical … all are invited!!!

ALL SOULS DAY, TUESDAY, NOV. 2: is a day when we especially remember our departed family and friends. As it is our custom, our parish will offer a first intention Mass each day during the month of November at 12:05 for all whose names are in the high altar. Starting today the donation envelopes are placed in the pews for your “special contributions.”

PARISH CENTER NEWS: Sign up your child/children of 0 to 12 yrs. old from October 17 to November 18 for The Christmas Toys and Grocery Distribution Program in our office. You could only sign up your children once.
-English classes are being offered every morning from 9 to 11 am. To enroll, please call the Office of Social Services.

HALLOWEEN IN HOLLYWOOD: The Silly String is illegal in Hollywood on Halloween Night! The Los Angeles City Council passed an ordinance that prohibits the sale and possession of silly string on Halloween from Oct. 31 12 am to Nov. 1 12 pm. within the Hollywood Division. A maximum $1,000 fine may be imposed and /or six months in jail.

FLU & PNEUMONIA SHOTS: The shots will be offered on Sunday, November 21 from 8 am – 2 pm in the school auditorium. The amount is limited due to the National Shortage of vaccine. It will be only offered to persons 65 years or older; persons with chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure or asthma; pregnant women and/or babies 6-23 mos. There will be a cost of $10.00 (cash only).

DOMINGO MUNDIAL DE LAS MISIONES – 2DA. COLLECTA: Hoy, con los catolicos del mundo, se nos llama a esta celebracion Eucaristica a ofrecer nuestras oraciones y nuestro generoso apoyo financiero, por medio de la Propagacion de la Fe, para continuar la mision de nuestro Senor.
Su donacion en el Domingo Mundial de las Misiones apoya a:
- Sacerdotes de mision que llevan el amor de Jesus a los pobres que viven en aldeas remotas y en barrios de la ciudad
- Hermanas y Hermanos Religiosos que ofrecen la compasion curativa del Senor a refugiados, enfermos y huerfanos
- Catequistas que proclaman el Evangelio a los mas pobres de nuestra familia humana, el mensaje de la esperanza y paz que solo Cristo puede dar.
Hoy, Domingo Mundial de las Misiones, pido sus oraciones por la obra de la Iglesia en las Misiones — y le aliento tambien a ofrecer su generosa ayuda financiera. Que Dios le bendiga! Los sobres correspondientes para esta donacion se encuentran detras de las bancas.

CONCIERTO ESTILO CABARET: Los miembros del Coro Acapella de la Iglesia de SantIsimo Sacramento presentaran una obra musical titulada Cabaret en Concieto el Viernes 29 de Octubre y Sabado 30 de Octubre a las 8 pm en el auditorio de la escuela. El costo por persona es de $7.00. No se lo piedran!!! Todos estan invitados!!!

DIA DE LOS DIFUNTOS, MARTES 2 NOVIEMBRE: Como todos los anos ofreceremos nuestras intenciones durante las Misas de las 12:05 durante todo el mes de Noviembre en favor de todos los nombres de los difuntos que se an anotado en el Libro de Memorias de las Almas que estara colocado al pie del altar. Colocaremos los sobres para su “donacion especial” detras de los reclinatorios a partir de hoy.

CENTRO PASTORAL: Registre a su nino/s entre las edades de 0 a 12 anos desde el 17 de Octubre hasta el 18 de Noviembre para el programa de los juguetes de Navidad y las canastas Navidenas en nuestra oficina. Por favor asegurese que su hijo/s sean inscritos solamente una vez.

HALLOWEEN EN HOLLYWOOD: La venta y posesion del Silly String es prohibido en Hollywood en el Dia de las Brujas desde Octubre 31 12 am a Noviembre 1, 12 pm. La multa es de $1,000 y/o o meses en la carcel.

VACUNAS CONTRA LA GRIPE Y LA PULMONIA: Las vacunas estaran disponibles el DomIngo 21 de Noviembre de 8 am – 2 pm en el auditorio de la escuela. La cantidad es limitada debido a la escases nacional de vacunas. Se ofrecera solamente a personas de 65 anos o mas de edad; personas con enfermedades cronicas como diabetes, alta presion o asma; mujeres embarazadas; bebes de 6 a 23 meses. El costo es de $10.00 (efectivo solamente).
