PARISH CENTER NEWS:
– As the winter season approaches natural gas is a necessity to keep us comfortable in our homes but this winter prices have risen up. The Gas Company informed us that this is due to a many several factors, increasing demand, decrease production caused in part by the recent hurricanes, higher crude oil and gasoline prices and a colder-than average winter weather forecast for parts of the nation, for this reason the Gas Company has created many different programs to assist the low income families. Social Service forms part of these programs. We have applications for the CARE program that save you $20% in you monthly bill, visit the office and ask for your application.
– We also are part of the Winter Energy Program that starts in February and goes on until March or April.
– Social Service office has applications from the Archdiocesan Youth Employment Services for career training opportunities. Youth ages 16 to 21 could apply for part time or full time jobs. If you need more information call, or stop by our office.

MISSALS: English missals have arrived and are on sale at the rectory office at $4.00 each.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS: We are in need of additional Eucharistic Ministers, particularly at the Saturday 5:30pm and Sunday 7:30am Masses. For anyone interested in joining this ministry, there will be a training after the 5:30pm Mass on Saturday, November 27. Contact Marty Yadrick if interested. His number is listed in the parish bulletin.

ATTENTION GROUPS/MINISTRIES: There is leftover meat (hamburger patties and carne asada) from the Carnival. If you are interested in purchasing this for your Sunday sale, please call the rectory office for more information.

2nd Collection: CATHOLIC CAMPAIGN FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT: Poverty in America is on the rise-nearly 35 million Americans live below the poverty line. But we can reverse the trend by rekindling the spirit of community with those in need-by joining in solidarity to break the cycle of poverty. The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) supports self-help projects of poor and low-income people working together to improve their lives and their communities. Please give generously to CCHD in today’s collection. Envelopes are found in the back of the pews.

THANKSGIVING MESSAGE FROM THE PASTOR:
In this our Centennial Year, we as members of the Blessed Sacrament Parish and School Community have much for which to be grateful. We give thanks for the thousands of people who have gone before us on whose foundation of faith we stand. We give thanks for all the people of the parish who have loved us, and whom we have loved, because they have made Jesus come alive for us.
We give thanks even for the difficult times and the difficult people, because they have stretched us and made us grow both as humans and as Christians. We give thanks because God shows us his love and care for us in so many ways, everyday of our lives.
This Thanksgiving, as I come through my own trial of surgery and recovery, I want to thank God for the healing touch of the Spirit. I also want to thank each member of the parish and school community for your prayers and support.
May God bless us all, and may we become a blessing for others.

SPECIAL BILINGUAL THANKSGIVING MASS ON THANKSGIVING DAY (THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2003 @ 10:00 AM)
Let’s bring our community together and offer praise and Thanksgiving to God. For the early birds who need to be on the road early, we will keep the 8:00 am English Mass. The only 2 Masses on Thanksgiving Day will be at 8:00 am & 10:00 am.
At the 10:00 am Bilingual Mass, we invite all parishioners to bring non-perishable goods as donation for the needy in our parish. All through December a group of volunteers will be making Christmas baskets arrangements with these donations and baskets will be distributed by Christmas.
There will be no Confessions on Thanksgiving Day.

RECTORY OFFICE CLOSED - THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY: The rectory office will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 25 (Thanksgiving Day) and on Friday, Nov. 26. We will reopen as usual on Sat. Nov. 27. The rectory staff wishes you and your family a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

LA CAMPANA CATOLICA PARA EL DESARROLLO HUMANO: La pobreza en Estados Unidos esta en ascenso: casi 35 millones de estadounidenses viven por debajo de la linea de la pobreza. Pero podemos revertir esta tendencia reavivando el espiritu de comunidad con los necesitados, uniendonos solidariamente para romper el ciclo de la pobreza. La Campana Católica para el Desarrollo Humano apoya proyectos de autoayuda de personas pobres y de bajos ingresos que trabajan juntas para mejorar su vida y sus comunidades. Contribuya generosamente a la CCHD en la colecta de hoy. Los sobres correspondientes se encuentran detras de las bancas.

MISA BILINGUE EN EL DIA DE ACCION DE GRACIAS (JUEVES, 25 DE NOVIEMBRE A LAS 10:00 AM)
Reunamos a toda nuestra comunidad para que juntos podamos alabar y dar gracias a Dios. Para las personas que tengan que viajar o que por otra razon no puedan asistir a nuestra Misa Bilingue, mantendremos la Misa de las 8:00 am en ingles. Solo tendremos dos Misas el Dia de Accion de Gracias: a las 8:00 y a las 10:00 de la manana.
Invitamos a todos nuestros feligreses a que traigan una donacion de comestibles que no se malogren para que durante la Misa Bilingue de las 10:00am estas donaciones sean colocadas al pie del altar durante el ofertorio. Estas donaciones se destinaran para las familias mas necesitadas de nuestra parroquia. Durante todo el mes de Diciembre un grupo de voluntarios estara colocando estas donaciones en “Canastas de Navidad” que seran distribuidas entre las familias necesitadas.
No habran Confesiones el Dia de Accion de Gracias.
Celebremos el Dia de Accion de Gracias con espiritu de agradecimiento y compartiendo con nuestros semejantes!

MENSAJE DEL PASTOR EN EL DIA DE ACCION DE GRACIAS:
En este ano de nuestro Centenario, nosotros los miembros de la Parroquia y de la Escuela del Santisimo Sacramento tenemos mucho por lo que estar agradecidos. Damos las gracias a las miles de personas que ya no estan fisicamente entre nosotros, pero que nos legaron el pilar de su fe en el cual nos sostemenos. Damos gracias a todas las personas de esta parroquia que nos han amado, y a los que nosotros tambien amamos, porque ellos nos han permitido que Jesas se haga presente entre nosotros.
Damos gracias por los momentos difíciles que hemos pasado y tambien por las personas díficiles que hemos encontrado en nuestro camino, porque ellos nos han puesto a prueba y nos han hecho crecer como seres humanos y como Cristianos indudablemente.
Damos gracias porque Dios nos demuestra el amor y el carino que siente por nosotros de muchas maneras.
En este Dia de Accion de Gracias, cuando estoy pasando por un periodo de recuperacion luego de mi cirujia, quiero dar gracias a Dios por la sanacion recibida mediante su Espiritu. Quiero agradecer tambien a todos los miembros de la parroquia y de la escuela por sus oraciones y apoyo.
Que Dios los bendiga, y que cada uno de nosotros nos convirtamos en una bendicion para otros. Feliz Dia de Accion de Gracias,

ATENCION GRUPOS/MINISTERIOS: Ha sobrado carne del Carnaval (carne para hamburgesas y carne asada). Si alguien esta interesado en comprar esta carne para sus ventas de los domingos, o para uso particular, por favor llamar a la oficina de la rectoria.

NO HABRA MISA DE LAS 7 PM EL PROXIMO DOMINGO 28 DE NOVIEMBRE: Con motivo del Desfile Anual de Navidad de Hollywood no tendremos la Misa de las 7 pm el proximo Domingo 28.

SERVICIO DE RECONCILIACION EN COMUNIDAD: Este servicio bilingue se realizara el Lunes 6 de Diciembre a las 7:00pm. Invitamos a todos los feligreses a acompanarnos y participar de esta importante preparación antes de la Navidad.

NOTICIAS DEL MINISTERIO DE LA GUADALUPANA: El Ministerio de La Guadalupa realizara una subasta de ropa de artistas famosos el Domingo 5 de Diciembre en el auditorio de la escuela de 10am a 3pm con el motivo de recaudar fondos para las celebraciones en el Dia de la Virgen de Guadalupe. Necesitamos ayuda con la preparacion de la celebracion y les pedimos ayudarnos a repartir volantes.
Tambien como parte de la celebracion en la Misa de las 7:00pm el dia 12 de Diciembre tendremos un “Desfile de las Naciones”, con el fin de que sean representadas todas las naciones de los feligreses de nuestra parroquia. NOTICIAS DEL CENTRO PASTORAL:
– El invierno esta llegando y con el la necesidad de el uso del consumo de gas natural para mantenernos confortables en nuestros hogares. Tambien los precios subiran este ano. La Compania de Gas nos ha informado que esto se debe a factores: crecimiento en la demanda y baja produccion causada en parte por los recientes huracanes, altos precios de aceite en crudo y de la gasolina, y un invierno mas frio de lo normal que a sido pronosticado para ciertas partes de la nacion. Por estas razones la Compania de Gas ha creado diferentes programas para asistir a las familias de bajos ingresos. La oficina de Servicios Sociales es parte de este programa y hemos recibido solicitudes para el programa CARE, el cual le ahorra 20% en su factura mensual. Visite nuestras oficinas y obtenga su solicitud.
– Tambien somos parte del Winter Energy Program que dara comienzo en Febrero y generalmente termina en Marzo o Abril.
– En la oficina de Servicios Sociales tenemos solicitudes para el programa de la Arquidioceses llamado Youth Employment Program que ofrece trabajo para jovenes entre los 16 y 21 anos de edad que deseen trabajar tiempo completo o medio tiempo, Si desea mas informacion, llame o pase por nuestra oficina.
