ATTENTION PARISHIONERS: Next Sunday, May 29, there will be NO 11 am Mass. We will combine the English 11am & Spanish 1pm Masses in a 11:30am Multi-lingual Service celebrating our Parish Titular Feast “The Body & Blood of Christ”.

GAY & LESBIAN OUTREACH MINISTRY: The Blessed Sacrament Lesbian & Gay Outreach Ministry is holding its monthly potluck today, Sunday, May 22, after the 5:30pm Mass. Enter at the courtyard behind the church.

HISC (HOLLYWOOD INTERFAITH SPONSORING COMMITTEE): will have a meeting on Thursday, May 26, at 6:30pm in the school auditorium. All are invited to attend and participate!

FATHER’S DAY SPIRITUAL BOUQUET: special donation envelopes are found behind the pews, or at the rectory office, for your donation in honor and/or in memory of your father. On Sunday, June 19 all envelopes will be kept at the altar for a special blessing.

CARNIVAL NEWS: Welcome to the Carnival section of Blessed Sacrament Parish’s bulletin. Hope you were able to join us last year, lots of fun and comraderie. We need your help to make the 2005 Blessed Sacrament Carnival a success! The Carnival is our school and parish’s largest single fundraising event. The 2005 Carnival will be held October 21, 22, 23rd.There are many ways that you can participate and we welcome all suggestions for possible contributions.
– Volunteer your time: To solicit for donations, planning and installing decorations, setting up before the weekend event, preparing food, running the game & raffle booths etc.
– Contribute items: We encourage you to request donations from local businesses that you frequent, and to ask your friends and families if they can help us
– Come to the party and enjoy: We will send you more information thru the bulletin as the weekend draws closer but don’t forget that your raffle ticket purchases is one very important way that you can help defray the costs of planning the carnival and make sure that as much money as possible goes directly to help the school and parish. We encourage you to invite your colleague’s friends, and families to join us for the weekend.
– We are excited about the chance to top our fundraising records from previous years and we are looking forward to a terrific weekend with food, games, entertainment and friends. We would be thrilled for you to help us make the 2005 Carnival, Concert & International Cuisine our best yet. MAYO - MES DE MARIA

ATENCION FELIGRESES: El proximo Domingo 29 de Mayo no tendremos Misa de 1pm. Combinaremos la Misa en Ingles de las 11am y la Misa en Espanol de la 1pm en un Servicio Multi-lingue a las 11:30am con motivo de la celebracion de nuestra Fiesta Parroquial - “El Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo” y Celebracion Centenaria.

HISC (Comision Inter-Religiosa de Hollywood): Tendra una reunion el 26 de Mayo en el auditorio de la escuela a las 6:30pm. Todos estan invitados a asistir y participar.

NOTICIAS DEL DEPTO. DE EDUCACION RELIGIOSA: A partir del 1ero de Junio estaremos aceptando matriculas para los programas de Catecismo, Confirmacion, RICA y de Monaguillos para el nuevo ano escolar 2005-2006. Por favor vengan a la Oficina de Educacion Religiosa a partir del 1ero de Junio o llamen al (323) 463-9820 para mayores informes.
Gran Rifa de ropa y articulos de artistas de personajes famosos a beneficio de las celebraciones de la Virgen de Guadalupe y del Senor Crucificado de Esquipulas. Artistas donadores incluyen a Don Francisco, Alvaro Torres, Fernando Valenzuela, Lupillo Rivera, Joan Sebastian, Juan Gabriel, Meche Carreno, Mirthala Salinas, y muchos mas. Esta rifa se realizara el 19 de Junio a las 2pm en el auditorio de la escuela. Representantes de este ministerio estaran ofreciendo estas rifas a la salida de Misa los domingos. Gracias por su generosidad!

Sobres especiales para su donacion en el Dia de los Padres: Los encontraran detras de las bancas o en la oficina de la rectoria, para en ellos rendir tributo a sus Padres (vivos y/o fallecidos). El Domingo 19 de Junio estos sobres se colocaran en el altar para una bendicion especial.

USO DE LOS SOBRES DE OFRENDAS: Por favor usen sus cheques personales y/o los sobres que les envia la parroquia para hacer sus donaciones. Esto nos ayuda a saber cuantos miembros de la parroquia estan activamente envueltos en su sostenimiento financiero. Las personas y/o familias que no estan inscritos como miembros de la parroquia, lo deben hacer, asi los mantendremos informados a cerca de las actividades especiales que son programadas y tambien cuando necesiten de una carta de referencia la Iglesia se las puede otorgar. Gracias por su atencion y generosidad!

CARNAVAL: Bienvenidos a la seccion del Carnaval en nuestro boletin. Espero que Uds nos hayan acompanado el ano pasado, cuando nos divertimos muchisimo en un ambiente de camaridad. Necesitamos otra vez de su ayuda para hacer del Carnaval de este ano todo un exito. El Carnaval es el evento mas grande de nuestra parroquia en el cual recaudamos fondos para la parroquia y nuestra escuela y este ano se realizara el 21, 22 y 23 de Octubre.Hay muchas maneras en las que ustedes pueden ayudar y participar. Haganme saber sus ideas, sugerencias para obtener mas contribuciones.
– Voluntarios: Donando su tiempo para solicitar donaciones, haciendo y/o colocando las decoraciones, cocinando, arreglando antes y despues del Carnaval, trabajando en alguno de los kioskos de juegos y/o comida.
– Donaciones: Pidiendo donaciones de los negocios que ustedes frequentan, de sus familiares y amistades.
– Vengan a la fiesta para divertirse: Les daremos mas informacion cuando se vaya acercando la fecha. Pero no se olviden que el exito del Carnaval reside en la venta de los boletos de las rifas. Inviten a sus familiares y amigos para que vengan durante este fin de semana.
