OFFERTORY INCREASE PROGRAM – COMMITMENT SUNDAY
Today is our Offertory Increase Program Commitment Sunday. Please make a conscious effort to commit your family to support the work of the Lord at Blessed Sacrament Parish.
We request that only one adult family member fills out the commitment card. We also would like to encourage you that when making your donations please use your checks and/or envelopes. It is very helpful to us to know how many members of our parish are actively involved in offering their financial support. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS: The Religious Education Program will be accepting registrations for Catechism, Confirmation, and RCIA programs for the 2005-2006 school year beginning June 1st. Please come to the Religious Education Office on June 1st or call them at (323) 463-9820 for more information.

FATHER’S DAY SPIRITUAL BOUQUET: special donation envelopes are found behind the pews, or at the rectory office, for your donation in honor and/or in memory of your father. On Sunday, June 19 all envelopes will be kept at the altar for a special blessing.

PARISH CENTER NEWS: The Social Services Ministry is having a Rummage Sale on June 26. This is one of the ways we raise funds for the Center. We need volunteers the day before and the day of the sale, any help you can give us will be deeply appreciated.
– Job Opportunity: MAILROOM CLERK: permanent part-time position with a publishing sales office in the area of Hollywood-Larchtmont: from 1:00 pm.-5:00pm Monday thru Friday. Familiar with computer; some lifting required. Call Social Service for more information.

MUSIC MUNISTRY NEWS: The Blessed Sacrament Music Department announces the start of “Saturday Morning Music” a free monthly music class for children and their parents on Saturdays at 11:00am. We will offer free basic music theory lessons and explore different musical instruments and styles. This class is open to all age groups and you do not need to have any previous music training. For more information, or to RSVP, please call the Music Department at 323-462-6311 x 312. Bring the whole family and have a fun, musical morning with us!

Looking to purchase a new vehicle? Go into Hollywood Toyota 6000 Hollywood Blvd. Ask for Vic Sabala or Paige Grant. Tell them you are a Parishioner and they will give you any vehicle (Prius and Scion excluded) for only $200 over invoice. Plus will donate $100. to Blessed Sacrament for each vehicle sold. Offer ends Oct. 31, 2005

CARNIVAL NEWS: Welcome to the Carnival section of Blessed Sacrament Parish’s bulletin. Hope you were able to join us last year, lots of fun and comraderie. We need your help to make the 2005 Blessed Sacrament Carnival a success! The Carnival is our school and parish’s largest single fundraising event. The 2005 Carnival will be held October 21, 22, 23rd.
There are many ways that you can participate and we welcome all suggestions for possible contributions.
– Volunteer your time: To solicit for donations, planning and installing decorations, setting up before the weekend event, preparing food, running the game & raffle booths etc.
– Contribute items: We encourage you to request donations from local businesses that you frequent, and to ask your friends and families if they can help us
– Come to the party and enjoy: We will send you more information thru the bulletin as the weekend draws closer but don’t forget that your raffle ticket purchases is one very important way that you can help defray the costs of planning the carnival and make sure that as much money as possible goes directly to help the school and parish. We encourage you to invite your colleague’s friends, and families to join us for the weekend.
– We are excited about the chance to top our fundraising records from previous years and we are looking forward to a terrific weekend with food, games, entertainment and friends. We would be thrilled for you to help us make the 2005 Carnival, Concert & International Cuisine our best yet. PROGRAMA DE INCREMENTO DE OFRENDAS – DOMINGO DEL COMPROMISO
Hoy es el dia del Compromiso de nuestro Programa de Incremento de Ofrendas. Les rogamos tomen una decision consciente y hagan el esfuerzo de comprometerse Ud. Y su familia apoyando el trabajo de Dios aqui en la Parroquia del Santisimo Sacramento.
Les pedimos encarecidamente que solo una persona adulta por familia llene la tarjeta del compromiso. Gracias de antemano por toda su atencion y generosidad! Por favor usen sus cheques personales y/o los sobres que les envia la parroquia para hacer sus donaciones. NO SE DEJE ENGANAR por las semillas pequenas! Una diminuta semilla de mostaza se convirtio en un frondoso arbol para que todos los pajaros encontraran alli abrigo y proteccion!

Gran Rifa de ropa y articulos de artistas de personajes famosos a beneficio de las celebraciones de la Virgen de Guadalupe y del Senor Crucificado de Esquipulas. Artistas donadores incluyen a Don Francisco, Alvaro Torres, Fernando Valenzuela, Lupillo Rivera, Joan Sebastian, Juan Gabriel, Meche Carreno, Mirthala Salinas, y muchos mas. Esta rifa se realizara el 19 de Junio a las 2pm en el auditorio de la escuela. Representantes de este ministerio estaran ofreciendo estas rifas a la salida de Misa los domingos. NOTICIAS ESCOLARES: Las matriculas para el ano escolar 2005-2006 estan abiertas. Pueden llamar a la oficina de la escuela al telf: (323) 467-4177. Las clases de verano comienzan el Lunes 27 de Junio hasta el fin de Julio. Habra cuidado de ninos desde las 12 del mediodia hasta las 5pm. A todo nino que no se le recoja a las 12:30pm, se le mandara al Programa de Cuidados de Ninos y a los padres se les cobrara una tarifa adicional.

Sobres especiales para sus donaciones en el Dia de los Padres: los encontraran detras de las bancas y en la rectoria para en ellos rendir tributo a sus Padres (vivos y/o fallecidos). El Domingo 19 de Junio estos sobres se colocaran en el altar para una bendicion especial.

NOTICIAS DEL DEPTO. DE MUSICA El Departamento de Musica les anuncia que los Sabados tienen clases de musica para ninos y sus padres y seran dadas a las 11:00 am. Estas clases seran gratuitas y se ofrecera un curso basico de musica y se ensenara a tocar diferentes instrumentos musicales. Esta clase esta abierta a personas de todas las edades y no se requiere previa experiencia musical. Para mayores informes, por favor llamar al Depto. De Musica (323) 462-6311 ext 312. REUNION DEL CONCEJO PASTORAL: Se llevara a cabo el Sabado 18 de Junio a las 8:45am en el Centro Pastoral. Todos los representantes de grupos/ministerios estan invitados!

NOTICIAS DEL CENTRO PASTORAL: El Centro Pastoral tendra una Venta de Segunda el Domingo 26 de este mes, de 7:00am a 3:00pm Esta es una de las actividades para reunir fondos para los Servicios Sociales que aqui llevamos a cabo y necesitamos mucha ayuda. Si Ud desea ayudarnos el dia anterior y el dia de la venta se lo agradeceremos inmensamente.
– Oferta de Trabajo: Encargado de Correspondencia en una Compania de Ventas de Publicidad en el area de Hollywood-Larchtmont, posicion de medio tiempo de 1:00pm a las 5:00pm, de Lunes a Viernes, se necesita conocimientos de computacion, y en ocasiones tiene que levantar cajas. CARNAVAL: Bienvenidos a la seccion del Carnaval en nuestro boletin. Espero que Uds nos hayan acompanado el ano pasado, cuando nos divertimos muchisimo en un ambiente de camaridad. Necesitamos otra vez de su ayuda para hacer del Carnaval de este ano todo un exito. El Carnaval es el evento mas grande de nuestra parroquia en el cual recaudamos fondos para la parroquia y nuestra escuela y este ano se realizara el 21, 22 y 23 de Octubre.
Hay muchas maneras en las que ustedes pueden ayudar y participar. Haganme saber sus ideas, sugerencias para obtener mas contribuciones.
– Voluntarios: Donando su tiempo para solicitar donaciones, haciendo y/o colocando las decoraciones, cocinando, arreglando antes y despues del Carnaval, trabajando en alguno de los kioskos de juegos y/o comida.
– Donaciones: Pidiendo donaciones de los negocios que ustedes frequentan, de sus familiares y amistades.
– Vengan a la fiesta para divertirse: Les daremos mas informacion cuando se vaya acercando la fecha. Pero no se olviden que el exito del Carnaval reside en la venta de los boletos de las rifas. Inviten a sus familiares y amigos para que vengan durante este fin de semana.
