MINISTRY FOR THE SICK & HOMEBOUND: All those interested to know more, and/or to join this ministry are invited to attend a meeting tomorrow, Monday, November 14 at 7:30pm in the rectory conference room.

PARISH COUCIL MEETING: will take place next Saturday, November 19 at 8:45am in the Parish Center. All representatives are encouraged and invited to attend!!!

ATTENTION LECTORS - Message from Valerie Milano: “It is almost time to purchase new St. Joseph Handbooks for Proclaimers of the Word. I have the form here and can order them for you if you would like. They are $9.95 plus tax and shipping of $6.50-a total of $16.45. If you would like one, and I highly recommend them for your preparation at home before your scheduled Mass, please mail me a check or leave on in my in name in the rectory office. I will let you know when they arrive.”

HEALTH MINISTRY: Do you know what the Church Health Cabinet is? It’s not a cupboard, it’s a ministry of dedicated volunteers that bring health services and education to parishioners and to the surrounding community, including our homeless neighbors. In 2005 the Health Cabinet has sponsored Sunday events to test for diabetes; cervical cancer; high cholesterol; and classes on nutrition and CPR (both in English and Spanish). In October, our blood drive yielded 28 units, despite strict screening, a number which the Red Cross considers quite successful. The Health Cabinet also offers weekly Saturday Tai-Chi classes taught by a professional instructor (contact Aura Martinez at (323) 969-8519 for more information). In partnership with the Health Cabinet, our parish nurse has given more than 600 individual office consultations this year. REMEMBRANCE BOOK: Our parish “Remembrance Book”, for the names of our beloved deceased, will be available near the main altar. Please come and write the names of your deceased family and friends in the book. We shall pray for them at all our Masses during November.

SOCIAL SERVICES OFFICE: Social Service is having a Pre-Christmas sell on November the 27th from 7:30 to 3pm. Everything new, we have a lot of Toys, clothes, shoes and more. Come and see!!! Good bargains, besides you are contributing for Charity.
– We are taking names of children and their families for the Christmas gifts and food baskets to be donated for Christmas. For more information and to enroll your family/child, please call the

MINISTERIO DE LA SALUD: Sabe usted que es el Gabinete de Salud de la Iglesia? No es un gabinete para platos, es un ministerio de voluntarios dedicados a brindar servicios de salud y educacion a feligreses y a la comunidad en general, incluyendo nuestros vecinos sin hogares fijos. En 2005 el Gabinete de Salud ha apoyado eventos durante los Domingos tales como: chequeos de la diabetes; cancer cervical; colesterol; y clases de nutricion y de primeros auxilios (ambos en ingles y en espanol). Durante el mes de Octubre hubo donacion de sangre; a traves de la Cruz Roja, y fue un gran exito. El Gabinete de Salud tambien ofrece semanalmente, en especail los Sabados clases de Tai-Chi (llame a Aura Martinez para mas informacion al (323) 969-8519). VOZ DE LOS ANGELES: llevara a cabo su reunion mensual el Jueves 17 de Noviembre a las 7:00pm en el auditorio de la escuela. Todos estan invitados a participar!

SERVICIOS SOCIALES: Tendremos una venta pre-Navidena el proximo 27 de Noviembre, de las 7:30am a las 3pm. Todos los articulos son nuevos y a muy buen precio: tenemos juguetes, ropa, y muchas cosas mas!!! Venga y ayudenos a ayudar a los mas pobres.

MISA DE ACCION DE GRACIAS DE LA ESCUELA: Estan invitados a asistir a la Misa de Accion de Gracias que los estudiantes celebraran el Lunes 21 de Noviembre a las 12:05.
