ALTAR SERVERS: there will be a meeting for altar servers in the church on Saturday, July 19th from 9:00 am -12 noon. Anybody who would like to join their ministry is welcome to attend. New servers are being accepted!

“Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion”: Come participate in the Blessed Sacrament community as member of the Eucharistic Ministry. As a part of the Liturgy of the Mass you will be serving the community of Blessed Sacrament by assisting the priest in distributing the Sacred Body and Blood of Christ to your fellow parishioners. VIRTUS WORKSHOP: For Liturgical Ministers, Catechists, School, Social Services and Parish Personnel: The Virtus Workshop – For the Protection of Children will be offered at Blessed Sacrament on Saturday, August 16 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. There will be two workshops, one in English and one in Spanish. Please mark you calendars and plan to attend this workshop if you have not done so in the past. Protecting our children is of prime concern for our parish.

Did You Know? Guidelines for youths working with youths
The Archdiocesan Office of Religious Education and the Department of Catholic Schools, working in collaboration with the Office of Safeguard the Children, have developed Archdiocesan Boundary Guidelines for junior high and high school youth working or volunteering with children or youth. These Guidelines are promulgated to ensure the safety of the children in all Archdiocesan programs and Christian Service projects. All youth volunteers, including students who are already 18, must receive training in these Boundary Guidelines before undertaking their Christian Service ministry project. LA VOZ DE LOS ANGELES: Todos están invitados a la próxima reunión de La Voz de Los Ángeles que será este Martes 15 de Julio a las 7pm en el auditorio de la escuela. Participe y de esta forma estará ayudando a su comunidad.

COORDINADORES DE LA VENTA DEL PROXIMO DOMINGO: Carismáticos (café & donuts)

TALLER DEL PROGRAMA VIRTUS: Para Ministros de Liturgia, Catequistas, La Escuela, El Centro de Servicios Sociales y el Personal de la Parroquia Taller del programa Virtus- para la protección de los niños se llevará a cabo el sábado 16 de Agosto de 10:00am a 1:pm, en la Iglesia del Santísimo Sacramento. Habrá dos talleres, uno en inglés y el otro en español. Por favor marque su calendario. Este taller es sólo para las personas que aún no lo han tomado. Proteger a los niños es una de nuestras mayores preocupaciones aquí en nuestra parroquia.

EDUCACION RELIGIOSA: El programa de Educación Religiosa está recibiendo solicitudes para la preparación a los Sacramentos de Primera Comunión y Confirmación de niños y adultos para su programa del 2008-09 a comenzar en Septiembre. Sabe Usted? Pautas Para los Jóvenes Que Trabajan con la Juventud
La Oficina de Educación Religiosa y el Departamento de Escuelas Católicas, trabajando en colaboración con la Oficina Protegiendo a Los Niños han diseñado una Pautas Arquidiocesanas Sobre los Límites de Contacto para aquellos jóvenes voluntarios de secundaria y primaria que trabajan con niños y otros jóvenes. Estas pautas fueron establecidas para la seguridad de los niños que participan en programas Arquidiocesanos y proyectos del Servicio Cristiano. Todos los jóvenes voluntarios, incluyendo los estudiantes que ya son mayores de 18 años, deben recibir entrenamiento en estas pautas antes de participar en el proyecto del Ministerio del Servicio Cristiano.
