Together in Mission 2009-COMMITMENT SUNDAY – Our Parish Goal is $32,649.30. Once the pledge payments have exceeded our goal, we receive all of the additional funds for use in our parish ministries. What you give should be given in gratitude for what God has given you. Thank you for your prayerful consideration and generous response.

We are now selling Polo Shirts and Aprons embroidered with the Blessed Sacrament logo. These items are very affordable, because they are sold at cost. They are available at the parking lot after all the Sunday morning Masses.

VIRTUS WORKSHOP BLESSED SACRAMENT CHURCH – Saturday, February 21 @ 1:00pm, School auditorium: Blessed Sacrament Church is pleased to inform you that we have now two in-house Virtus Facilitators: Pedro Marroquin, Youth Ministry Coordinator, and Salvador Callela, School teacher. Both of them will hold The Virtus Workshop-for the Protection of Children- here at Blessed Sacrament in the school auditorium on Saturday, February 21 at 1:00pm. There will be two workshops, one in English and one in Spanish. These sessions will meet the Archdiocese requirement for volunteers and employees to be Virtus trained, all participants will receive a certificate at the end of the sessions. These sessions are open for all of our Liturgical Ministers, Catechists, School faculty, staff & volunteers, Social Services staff and volunteers; and Parish Personnel. People from another parishes may also attend. Please mark you calendars and plan to attend this workshop if you have not done so in the past. Please call the rectory office to sign up, giving your complete name, phone number, ministry, and session requested. Protecting our children is of prime concern for our parish.

El Centro Nacional Para Niños Perdidos y Explotados, la Oficina Federal de Investigación, y otras agencias gubernamentales trabajan y luchan juntos en derrotar el crimen del Internet contra niños. Han establecido un “CyberTipline,” un mecanismo para reportar los casos de explotación sexual de niños y pornografía infantil , incentivos de tentación para los niños por actos del sexo, molestación sexual de niños fuera de la familia, niños víctimas de prostitución, y del material obsceno no solicitado enviado a un niño por medio de Internet. TALLER DEL PROGRAMA VIRTUS – PARROQUIA DEL SANTÍSIMO SACRAMENTO: Sábado, 21 de Febrero-1:00pm, Auditorio de la escuela. La Parroquia del Santísimo Sacramento se complace en informarles que cuenta con dos personas de la parroquia quienes han sido certificadas para impartir el programa Virtus: Pedro Marroquín, Coordinador del Grupo Juvenil, y Salvador Calle la, maestro de la escuela. Ambos darán el Taller del programa Virtus-para la protección de los niños-el Sábado 21 de Febrero a la 1pm en el auditorio de la escuela. Habrá dos talleres, uno en inglés y otro en español. Estos talleres cumplen con el requisito de la Arquidiócesis de Los Angeles para que todos los voluntarios y empleados de la Arquidiócesis reciban este entrenamiento. Todos los participantes recibirán, al final del taller, un certificado de asistencia. Estos talleres son abiertos para nuestros Ministros de Liturgia, Catequistas, Maestros, empleados y voluntarios de la Escuela, del Centro de Servicios Sociales y el Personal de la Parroquia. Personas de otras parroquias también están invitadas a asistir. Por favor marquen sus calendarios. Este taller es sólo para las personas que aún no lo han tomado. Por favor llamar a la oficina de la rectoría para inscribirse dando su nombre completo, número de teléfono, nombre del ministerio al cual pertenecen y preferencia de taller. Proteger a los niños es una de nuestras mayores preocupaciones aquí en nuestra parroquia.
