FR. JAMES DOOGAN, S.J.: We want to say Farewell to Fr. Jim Doogan who is leaving Blessed Sacrament parish on Monday, October 19th. We thank him for his two years of service with us, and we wish him well in his new endeavors. Thank you Fr. Doogan!

HEALTH CABINET NEWS: Free flu shots, Sunday , October 25 from 8:30am to 2:30pm in the Social Service Parish Center. Everyone over 18 qualify, but highly recommended for : Age 50+, Any one 18-50 with chronic (ongoing) disease such as: Asthma, heart disease, diabetes.

Did You Know? Getting to and from School Safely
If your child walks to school, walk the route with him/her to identify landmarks and safe places to go if he/she is being followed or needs help. Create a map with your child showing acceptable routes to and from school using main roads and avoiding shortcuts and isolated areas. Make sure young children are properly supervised going to and from school, whether it is by you as a parent/guardian, an older sibling or another trusted adult. Remind older children to always take a friend when walking or riding their bikes to and from school. MINISTERIO DE LA SALUD: Se distribuirán vacunas Gratis contra la Influenza (flu) el Domingo 25 de Octubre de 8:30am – 2:30pm en el Centro Pastoral de la Iglesia. Los requisitos para calificar son: Mayor de 18 años de edad, Personas de 18 o 50 años de edad que tengan una enfermedad crónica (como asma, sufrir del corazón, diabetes, etc.)
