· Introduction: 1 Corinthians 10: 16-17
· The Bread that we break, is it not a participation in the Body of Christ? Because the loaf of bread is one, we though many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf.
· El pan que partimos, ¿no nos une a Cristo por medio de su cuerpo? El pan es uno, y así nosotros, aunque somos muchos, formamos un solo cuerpo, porque todos comemos del mismo pan.

· Today we celebrate the Feast of our Parish, The Church of the Blessed Sacrament. (Nuestra Fiesta Patronal)
· For 101 years, Catholics from the community of Hollywood have come together to partake of the one Bread that feeds us all.
· Por 101 años, Católicos de la comunidad de Hollywood, se ha reunido aquí para compartir de un solo Pan que nos alimenta a nosotros todos.

· Today we celebrate the many ministries that make up the Body of Christ at Blessed Sacrament.

· Today we celebrate our Diversity/Diversidad
· Latinos: Mexicanos, Centroamericanos, Sudamericanos
· Filipinos: Which Islands? Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, others ?
· Others: Sicilians, Irish, etc. …
· Men, Women, Straight, Gay, Young, Old, clergy, lay
· Look around – what brings us all here? – ¿Por qué estamos aquí?
· Together we are the Blessed Sacrament – The Body of Christ – Juntos somos el Santísimo Sacramento, el Cuerpo de Cristo.
· Many Made One around the Table of the Lord
· Muchos se hacen uno solo alrededor de la Mesa del Señor

· We gather here for a Purpose: Tenemos un propuesto:
· God gave the Chosen People Manna to help them flee from slavery
· To seek Respect & Justice for all.
· God led them through the desert where they had to face scorpions and serpents and other trials.
· Jesus gives us his Body and Blood to help us escape from the slavery of self-doubt and the oppression of discrimination.
· Jesus leads us through the deserts of our world, where we face the scorpions and serpents that tell us that the weak and the poor do not count for anything– and that only the powerful and the rich are important.

· El Señor regaló al Pueblo elegido el maná para ayudarlo huir de la esclavitud.
· Para hallar el respeto y la justicia para todos.
· El Señor los guió en el recorrido por desierto donde tenían que enfrentar serpientes y alacranes, y otras pruebas.
· Jesús, por su parte, nos da su Cuerpo y Sangre para ayudarnos huir de la esclavitud de falta de autoestima, y la opresión de la discriminación.
· Jesús nos guía en el recorrido por el desierto de nuestro mundo, donde enfrentamos las serpientes y los alacranes que nos dicen que los pobres y los débiles no cuentan para nada – que solo los poderosos y los ricos tienen valor.

· We come together to recognize Jesus present on the altar – a presence we share in Holy Communion.
· We also come together to recognize Jesus present in the community of believers gathered to praise God’s name and committed to make the world a better place for all God’s people.

· Nos reunimos y reconocemos la presencia de Jesús sobre el altar – una presencia que compartimos en la Santa Comunión.
· También, nos reunimos y reconocemos a Jesús presente en la comunidad de los fieles, reunidos a alabar el nombre del Señor y comprometidos a hacer mejor nuestro mundo para todos.

· We are Many made one around the table of the Lord
