I hope everyone had a great summer and is ready for the upcoming schedule. I would like to welcome back Dorothy Fortenberry, after having an addition to her family. Congratulations, Dorothy. Plus I would like to welcome Paul Estock. He recently went thru our own RCIA. Please say hi to him when you see him as well.

Hopefully you will all order new the Liturgy Training Publications workbook for Lectors and Gospel readers. I am sure you will notice that the one we all have is coming to an end. Please use them to prepare your readings. This workbook is the Proclaimers best friend. You will be hearing from Nancy Stellos shortly on this. I know I need a new one. just to finish the scheduling.

As you are aware, our parish carnival is right around the corner, starting October 14th-16th. As you are also aware, I have been chairing this fundraiser for many years. If you haven’t contacted me to become involved, please do so. I can surely use your help and support. I am still looking for many able bodies to man booths (esp. the Hamburger booth which is being organized by a few of the ministries). Meghan Edmonds, our past-fellow Lector who now lives in St. Louis, will be the English Lector/Hamburger booth point person and will be contacting you soon.

As always, it is your responsibility to find a replacement for yourself if you are unable to read at your scheduled Mass. You will see, a Lector availability list displaying the Masses for which the readers are available. And as always, if you relocate, change your telephone number or if your scheduled Masses are no longer compatible for you, please inform me as soon as you are able so that the requested changes can be reflected on the next listings. You are always able to access all schedules and handouts on the Blessed Sacrament website.
