IGNATIAN VOLUNTEER CORPS LOS ANGELES, 2009 DELLA STRADA RECEPTION

The Los Angeles Regional Council of the Ignatian Volunteer Corps cordially invites you to the 2009 Della Strada Reception honoring the Loyola High School Community Service Program, Sunday, April 19, 2009, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., at Blessed Sacrament Church in Hollywood, CA.

Fr. Gregory Goethals, SJ, President of Loyola High School, will be presented the award. Bishop Gordon Bennett, SJ, founder of the Loyola High School Community Service Program, will lead a prayer service and reflection.

The suggested donation for the reception is $50/person. For more information, contact Ann Hansen, Regional Director, IVC Los Angeles, at (805) 987-9807, or at ahansen@ivcusa.org

The Madonna Della Strada Award is named after the Sancta Maria della Strada, the first church that Ignatius and the early Jesuits obtained to serve the urban poor in the center of Rome. The award honors lives that reflect the Ignatian values of direct service to the poor, and working and educating for a more just society.
